Ireny Youssef

English Teacher  1st/2nd grade

Ireny Youssef has spent the past 11 years working as a teacher in Cairo, Egypt, where she taught elementary at American, British, and German International Schools (B.B.C. International School, British Ramses School, Dr. Nermien Ismail International Schools, and Roots International School). Ireny has a Master’s Degree in Education from Acacia University in Arizona.
In addition, she has extensive training in the International Baccalaureate Program and more specifically, in teaching the Theory of Knowledge.

Ireny finds teaching magical. For her, student-centered learning is key for
children to grow into young critical thinkers, who have their own points of view and creative insights.

She finds that the most exciting and rewarding part of being a teacher is to see each child grow into remarkable personalities. She also believes supporting children’s’ socio-emotionally wellbeing is key. Mrs. Ireny loves the curiosity and hunger to learn that students bring to the classroom.

She recently moved to Seattle with her husband. She is excited to get to
know the Puget Sound and all the wonderful things it has to offer!
