Maria Oneto

Maria has a B.A in Early Childhood Education from the Catholic University (Pontificia Universidad Católica) in Lima, Perú. She has taken courses in Mindfulness from Mindful Schools and Mindfulness Northwest as well as the Training of Trainers Program in High/Scope Curriculum from The High Scope Foundation in Michigan.

Maria has years of educational experience, first as a Kindergarten teacher in Perú, and most recently as a Spanish teacher at Arbor Montessori School in Sammamish, WA. She currently tutors middle and high school students from the International School in Kirkland, WA, and Inglewood and Eastlake High School in Sammamish, WA. She is the author of two children’s books to help native English speakers learn Spanish in a playful way: ¿Qué es lo que ves? and Liliana la iguana. In 2019, she plans to release a bilingual book that will help children with the transition to Kindergarten

Maria lives in Kirkland with her husband, two children, and their dog, Meenu. In her spare time, you can find her gardening or handcrafting. Maria is committed to developing an emotional sensitive environment that allows leaners to develop their potential as they grow with confidence.
