Our school staff is committed to providing the best education to your child! Give your child the advantage of belonging to Global Idea School!
OUR GOAL
By the end of elementary, your child will:
- Speak, read, write, and master concepts in English and Spanish.
- Be able to manage emotions and know how to respond rather than react.
- Have a strong foundation in 21st century skills (critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, initiative, and self-direction, among others).
- Be able to gather and analyze data and code.
- Be prepared to begin middle school with confidence and positive mindset.
TEACHING
- Global perspective with a cross-disciplinary curriculum.
- Teachers are mentors who walk alongside each student and facilitate active student learning.
- Qualified, experienced teachers able to identify each learner’s unique ways and plan the materials of the day to meet each student at their knowledge and skills level.
LEARNING
- Hands-on Learning.
- The learning pace and depth of exploration in each language is different for each student.
- We respect and acknowledge different interests, learning styles and rhythms.

FIELD TRIPS
At least 3 field trips per year to provide learning experiences that enrich classroom instruction.
They spark curiosity, encourage exploration, help students connect with the real world in meaningful ways, and promote social development and teamwork.
GUEST SPEAKERS
Guest speakers bring real-world experiences and diverse perspectives; they inspire curiosity, broaden students’ understanding of various topics, and help connect classroom lessons to the outside world.
CELEBRATIONS
We celebrate birthdays inspired by Montessori’s Celebration of Life.
We honor and celebrate different traditions from around the world throughout the year.
Students gain a broader understanding of different cultures, values and diversity. This promotes inclusivity, empathy, and respect for others, helping to build a more compassionate and globally-minded generation.
SNACK AND LUNCH
- Students bring their own snacks & lunch.
- On Fridays there is an optional thematic menu for the students that changes every week, prepared by a parent who has a professional catering service.
- Each year, we provide a list of food allergies so families are aware of which foods to avoid.
