Our Approach

At Global Idea School, the learning-teaching approach is student-centered. This means that the diversity of student needs, beliefs, abilities, interests, behaviors, and learning styles guide the teaching process and that the student voice is central to their day-to-day learning experience.
Our approach is based on HighScope© and Responsive Classroom.© Our cross-disciplinary curriculum is based on STE(A)M©(S), integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and have expanded it to include Art and Social Studies for a more global learning experience. Our socio-emotional curriculum, Círculo Mágico© (Magic Circle), teaches students to understand emotions and incorporates mindfulness to teach students how to manage emotions.

School Life

FAMILIES AS PARTNERS

Families are an integral part of a child’s education. We are committed to building a supportive and inclusive community where families know each other and our staff well. To develop a strong partnership with families, we have an open-door policy, communicate daily with families, and provide volunteer opportunities.
