We want our school mascot to be the letter ‘i’, just like the ‘i’ in idea! Now, we need your imagination to bring this mascot to life. What could an ‘i’ become? Let your creativity soar and help us design an incredible mascot!
We are a Bilingual (English-Spanish) Elementary School that cherishes the potential of each student, providing a safe place where they can be, explore, and belong.
Global Idea School is an independent, non-profit elementary school located in Redmond. The school provides a child-centered, hands-on education in a joyful, small-class environment through a cross-disciplinary curriculum.

We are very happy with our experience at Global Idea School. We love the bilingual and globally focused educa- tion. Our daughters (kindergarten and 2nd grade) are able to have entire conversations in Spanish. They prac- tice mindfulness exercises daily at school, and our daughters practice breathing exercises to calm them- selves at home, too.
GIS has been an incredible fit for our daughter. She receives more individu- alized instruction than larger class- room settings can provide, and is accelerating academically as a result. The teaching staff genuinely care and prioritize building her self-confidence, both academically and in relationships with peers.
We were determined to find our child a Spanish immersion program to pre- serve our native language, but we have found that GIS gives us much more than that. The small class sizes, strong Parent Committee, daily updates with pictures of what the kids are learning, ease of communication, focus on emotional intelligence, are just some examples of why we love this school.

G.I.S News
Our 5th graders used AI-powered “vibe coding” to create a real-world Braille tool, are featured in a GeekWire article, and are the youngest students to enter MIT’s “AI for a Better World” competition! At Global Idea School, Computer Science is a signature program that sets us apart. Guided by educators from Microsoft, Meta, and Google, students from Kindergarten through 5th grade learn coding, AI, computational thinking, robotics, and design while building real solutions to real problems. Instead of simply using technology, our students learn to create with it.
Our 2nd Math Night of the year was a huge success! Families came together for an evening of Robotics, Math, and Coding with special guests, live music performed by our talented students, hands-on activities for all ages, and of course… pizza! A perfect night of learning, creativity, and community. Thank you to everyone who participated!
We are so proud of one of our alumni, currently in 6th grade, for passing her B1 Spanish level exam with flying colors! She received a diploma from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports and the Instituto Cervantes. It’s exciting to see her language skills continue to grow after graduating Global Idea School. ¡Felicitaciones!
