Music Teacher
Karn holds a Masters in Physical Education and Dance with an emphasis in choreography from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor’s of Arts and Humanities with a dance emphasis from Mount Holyoke College. Karn taught creative movement for children at the Creative Dance Center for Anne Green Gilbert, and the Ravenna Eckstein Community Center, beginning and advanced ballet for 25 years, and World Dance at Shoreline Community College.
During a contemporary modern dance career spanning 30 years in Seattle, Karn produced 25 original works and 15 experimental dance films. She performed with numerous independent choreographers. Karn is a KRI certified kundalini yoga instructor and recently completed 3 years of kelp farming in Blue Hill Bay in the Gulf of Maine.
Karn is thrilled to be joining the team at the Global Idea School.
