4th–5th graders took learning beyond the classroom with a visit to the Brightwater Treatment Plant! They explored how humans impact the water cycle, saw how engineers use creativity and problem-solving to design the plant’s systems, and even suited up in hard hats and vests for the tour. Students reflected on how their daily choices affect water systems and discussed the water challenges communities face around the globe. From protecting human health to caring for the environment, it was an eye-opening day of discovery.
