We came together for a beautiful celebration of Peace Day! Our Roots & Shoots students gathered to honor Jane Goodall’s legacy and celebrate International Day of Peace. They created a beautiful dove to represent the spirit of the day and everything we can do to help create a more peaceful world.
We were honored to welcome Dana Lyons, a close friend of Jane Goodall, who shared stories about their friendship and performed some of his songs for our students.
We also heard from Pasado’s Safe Haven about their work protecting animals and from Whale Scouts, an organization our Roots & Shoots students have supported through local restoration projects.
It was an afternoon filled with music, animals, conservation, peace, and community—and a beautiful reminder of Jane Goodall’s inspiring message that every one of us can make a difference.
