English Teacher 1st/2nd grade & Co-Teacher TK/K
Allison was born and raised in Orange County, California. She moved to Washington after being recruited to swim at Seattle University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education, followed by a Master degree in Teaching. During her time at Seattle U., she completed two years of student teaching at Enatai Elementary in Bellevue, Washington, and went on to receive her Washington State certification in elementary education with a focus on English language learners.
For the past three years, Allison has taught second grade in Bellevue and is now thrilled to start her new journey at G.I.S. She values educating the whole child and enjoys weaving creativity into her lessons. To her, the classroom is a second home—one that welcomes students daily and offers a safe, supportive environment where they feel encouraged to take risks, ask questions, and express their ideas.
In addition to teaching, Allison spends her summers as the head swim coach at Newport Yacht Club, where she instructs and encourages children of all ages. She currently resides in Issaquah and, in her free time, enjoys swimming, cooking, and reading.
