Beth Robinson

Volunteer Librarian

Beth studied Biology in Oregon and received a degree in Nursing Science from
Columbia University. After working many years in cancer units, she moved to the
Seattle area with her husband and two young boys where he was a stay-at-home
mom and volunteered in a preschool. Beth found her call: she loved the laughs
and creativity of young children instead of having to deal with people dying.
As the children were older, Beth decided to reinvent herself in the education
field.  She received her teaching
credentials form Seattle Pacific University and for 20 years she was a K to 3rd
grade teacher.

After retiring, Beth met Veronica and Maria, the founders of Global Idea School, through her friend and colleague Jeannie Knapp, who gave them all the support and freedom to begin a school library with some books that had been donated. Since 2019, Beth and Jennie have been volunteering in the organization, expansion, and promotion of library education at the G.I.S Knapp-Robinson library, named after both of them.

Beth is very proud to see how the library has grown and especially loves reading to the children and working with all the students in different library projects. Currently she lives in Woodinville and spends time with her two sons and her grandson.
